Prof. Edwin TSO, Associate Dean (Internationalisation and Outreach) and Associate Professor in the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), has been elected as the Young Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering’s (HKAE) Young Member Section (YMS) for the year 2025.

This recognition follows Prof. Tso’s recent receipt of the prestigious Hong Kong Engineering Science and Technology Award, conferred by the Academy. The appointment stands as a testament to his exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to the field of engineering.

The YMS is a subset of the HKAE and serves as a distinguished platform created to empower early- to mid-career professionals in engineering. It aims to foster translational research, support process and product innovation, and encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange among emerging leaders in the field. The YMS plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of engineering talent and advancing science and technology development in Hong Kong.
