Ir Alice Chow Explores the Path to Circular Economy for Sustainable Growth at SEE Colloquium

We were thrilled to have Ir Alice Chow, Arup Fellow and Director at Arup, join us at the SEE Colloquium on 9 April 2024, to share her valuable insights on "My Journey to Circular Economy in Hong Kong". During the Colloquium, Alice highlighted the critical issue of depleting natural resources resulting from excessive exploitation for economic growth and development. She emphasized the importance of adopting a sustainable approach across all sectors to achieve long-term economic growth. Alice explored the concept of circular economy, which enabled innovative and sustainable ways of thinking and could offer a viable solution. By applying a holistic thinking process that would consider the whole lifecycle aspects of our built environment, we could eliminate wastage and pollution; circulate and reuse products and materials at their highest value to regenerate nature.
