INTRODUCTION

This Web site provides a tool for comparative analysis of Southeast and East Asian labour regulatory regimes (Cambodia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam). It is a compendium of the regulatory environment in different kinds of political economies in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, and provides the first comprehensive study of the regulatory environment in the region. On this site you can find information on the politico-legal framework, labour force structure, employment/labour contracts, coverage by labour law and regulations, collective employment provisions, conflicts, disputes and settlements, and inspections, monitoring and health and safety.
