Suk-Yee holds a MFA degree from the University of Southern California. During her study, she was awarded a "Woman in Film Scholarship" by the Women in Film Organization in Los Angeles. Her short films have been invited to participate in many international film festivals, including Melbourne International Film Festival, Kinofilm, Raindance, Leeds, Bradford, Sao Paulo, Busan, LA Short Fest, Visual Communication, Asian International Asian American Film Festival, Women in the Director's Chair and more. She has been invited to direct original plays in the Theatre Festival in Los Angeles.
She has more than ten years working experience in both film and television industries in Asia and the United States. As the launch team of NBC Asia, she tackled the challenges of starting up localized foreign programming in Asia. She has set up and managed a new satellite TV station in Los Angeles, bringing Asian programs to the United States.
Her recent works include producing a series of documentaries for the History Channel, shooting on location in Europe, Egypt and China. She is currently developing a feature project that she plans to direct. |
