The School of Creative Media is training a new generation of multi-media specialists -- professionals who are not only skilled in the technology of digital media but who are also versed in the art of story-telling and can integrate a multiplicity of media forms. They are being prepared to assist the media industries in adapting to change and new technologies and in creating world standard content. Our students are trained in innovation, creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability, and the capacity to integrate theory and practice and technology and the arts. They are also well-equipped to understand the business and legal environments in which media industries operate.
The School will continue to strengthen its role as a leader in creative media in Asia. This involves being an intellectual leader, becoming a leading training centre for students from the region, and for teachers from other media schools. We also intend to contribute to the education of students in traditional media and communications faculties and schools.
