| Wong Hoi-kwok was the Founding Head of the Department in 1988 to 1995. He then served as Principal of the College of Higher Vocational Studies for six years overseeing the sub-degree programmes in the university. He is active in community and public services. He was a member of the Hong Kong Council of Academic Accreditation, the Social Welfare Advisory Committee, Subventions and Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee; the Court and Council of Lingnan University; Chairman of the International Council on Social Welfare - Hong Kong Committee; Vice-chairman of the Admissions; Budgets & Allocations Committee of the Community Chest. He is at present a member of Regional Advisory Committee (Hong Kong) of the Hospital Authority; the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association; Chairman of the Youth Service Committee and Vice-president of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. |
