Chor-yung Cheung came to City University in August 1995 and joined the Department of Public and Social Administration in August 2007, holding the post of Senior Teaching Fellow.  He obtained his BA (Hons) at the University of Hong Kong, his MPhil at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and his PhD at the University of Hull.  He was twice an Administrative Officer of the Hong Kong Government and was an Editor of the BBC Chinese Service in London.  Cheung is currently an elected member of the Election Committee of the HKSAR, a member of the Policy, Research and Advocacy Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Services, and an associate of Oxfam Hong Kong.
