ITF - Public Sector Trial Scheme (PSTS)

The Public Sector Trial Scheme provides funding support for production of prototypes/samples and conducting of trial schemes in the public sector to facilitate and promote the realisation and commercialisation of R&D results under ITF projects.

The prototypes/samples and the trial schemes should aim to facilitate the development of new products not already available in the market currently, and employing the R&D results/deliverables of the completed ITF projects.

Eligibility Researchers with a completed ITF project under the Innovation and Technology Support Programme (ITSP), Guangdong-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme (TCFS) or University-Industry Collaboration Programme (UICP)
Funding ceiling 50% of the actual cost of the original ITF project (the funding ceiling is increased to 100% for PSTS projects to be undertaken/coordinated by the R&D Centres)
Max. project duration 24 months
Industry sponsorship Not mandatory

Please include the following budget items in each application:
1)    External audit fees ($8,000 per year for total project cost less than 1 million. $14,000 per year for total project cost between
       $1 million and $5 million, $20,000 per year for total project cost more than $5 million), and

 2)   Administrative overhead charge:
       15% x Total ITF fund requested
