Objectives

Mathematics is progressing at an ever faster pace. Its main research topics and challenges as well as its ever widening range of applications are constantly evolving. This conference aims to review and discuss some of the latest trends in these fields. It is dedicated to Professor Roderick Wong, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and Director of the Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences of City University of Hong Kong, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, in recognition of his mathematical achievements and of his dedication to the mathematical community.

Getting to City University from the hotels [ map ]
The Royal Plaza Hotel is located above the Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) station at Mongkok, while the Anne Black Guest House is located about 5 minutes walk from the same KCR station at Mongkok. It is one stop from Mongkok to the Kowloon Tong station (in the direction of Lo Wu).


City University can be accessed via Exit C at Kowloon Tong station, where signs direct pedestrians to the Concourse upstairs and then to City University. The University link tunnel is located on Level LG1 of the Festival Walk shopping mall and takes you directly to the campus.

Sightseeing Trip (Optional)

An agent from "China Travel Service" will be available at the site of the conference on 28 May from 08:45-16:00 for booking of sightseeing programs (please refer to the two attached booklets: [ Bauhinia ] [ Hong Kong Delights ]). Please pay the tour fee in Hong Kong Dollars in cash.
