City University of Hong Kong, as a leading global university, has made a very prompt and bold decision of adopting an interactive online learning mode (CityU-Learning) during the unprecedented-outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020. Through CityU-Learning, CityU becomes the first university in Hong Kong to offer real-time online classes at university scale to continue nurturing students in this difficult period.
Leveraging the innovative CityU-Learning platform, we launched BOLD@CityU in late February 2020 to open an opportunity for secondary school students for an online journey of discovery during school closure.
We believe that every student has what it takes to rise and shine. BOLD@CityU aims to raise secondary school students’ aspirations in planning their pathways to the future through increasing their interests, understanding and involvement in university education. We hope that our next generation will be BOLD – Be Original, Leading Discovery – in their learning, innovation and discovery!
