The Enhanced School Outreach and Branding (SOBF) Fund aims to support Colleges/Schools to organize school outreach activities to facilitate student recruitment and brand building.
Funding for each proposal is expected to be around $100,000 to $150,000, depending on proposal's quality, outcomes and demonstrable impacts.
The Fund can be used for organising a range of outreach activities, e.g., workshops, competitions, visits, etc, from 1 January to 31 December 2018. The activity can be a one-off event or a series of events with the purpose to maximise CityU's outreach and engagement opportunities.
All the proposed activities should (a) have an identified target group; (b) provide the target group opportunities to explore the academic unit (AU) and CityU; and (c) increase CityU and the AU's visibility in the school sector and the community.
Application should be made on College/School basis, and submit to firstname.lastname@example.org by filling in the Activity Proposal on or before 15 November 2017. Please set out an overall school outreach strategy of the College/School for student recruitment and branding, in particular for proposal covering multiple activities from different AUs.
Result will be released on or before end of December 2017. Funding will be downloaded to respective budget vote(s) of the College/School based on the application proposal normally in 2 instalments subject to the submission of a satisfactory Progress Report.
Please provide a Final Report highlighting the impact/deliverables achieved within 2 months after the project completion.
