Professor Arthur Ellis, Provost of City University of Hong Kong, oversees all academic and associated development of City University, including faculty appointments, retention and promotion and the successful transformation to a modern curriculum with global orientation.
The Provost is assisted by Associate Provost (Academic Planning and Undergraduate Education), Associate Provost (Quality Assurance) and Deans of Colleges and Schools, namely College of Business, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, College of Science and Engineering, School of Creative Media, School of Energy and Environment, School of Law, Chinese Civilisation Centre and English Language Centre, on academic planning and development initiatives. The Provost is also supported by the Chief Information Officer, the University Librarian, the Director of the Office of Education Development and Gateway Education, the Director of City University of Hong Kong Press and the Director of the School of Continuing and Professional Education.
