PHM Short Course at Emerson Innovation and Technology Conference

Professor Michael Pecht provided a half-day short course on Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) at the 2011 Emerson Innovation and Technology Conference, held in St. Louis, MO, on 15-17 August. Prof. Pecht presented the latest trends in the implementation of prognostics, and the methods for using PHM for electronic product qualification, life cycle prediction, and logistics support.

The Emerson Innovation and Technology Conference was attended by over 400 people from Emerson's technology divisions. The conference included keynote presentations from leaders in technology innovation, including Randall Ledford (Emerson), Rich Beyer (CEO, Freescale), Dan Meade (CEO, Verizon Wireless), and many more. The conference was structured around a mix of multiple plenary sessions and four presentation tracks. Speakers and workshop leaders addressed a number of issues that are critical to professionals and researchers in technology development, including renewable energy, life cycle assessment, nanomaterials, emerging technologies, wireless solutions, and prognostics.
