刘文印博士 Dr. Wenyin LIU

简介(Introduction)

刘文印博士: 高级研究员,曾任香港城市大学多媒体软件工程研究中心常务副主任。刘文印博士拥有清华大学学士(1988)和硕士(1992)学位、以色列理工学院理学博士学位(1998);曾任清华大学计算机系讲师和微软中国/亚洲研究院研究员;香港城市大学电脑学系助理教授、博士生导师。刘文印博士长期活跃在国际图形识别领域,同时涉足互联网信息分析、网上交互问答、多媒体信息处理及管理、人机交互等研究领域,并多次在相关领域研究中率先提出新问题及解决方案, 如假冒网站检测、网上交互问答系统及其有偿商业模式等,已开发出多个系统原型,发表论文超过200篇,并获中国、美国及欧洲授权发明专利共16项。刘文印博士开发的工程图纸矢量化处理及识别系统多次获奖。特别是由于在图形识别,工程图纸识别,及其算法性能评价等研究领域的突出贡献, 2003年获国际模式识别学会(IAPR--International Association for Pattern Recognition)颁发的文档分析与识别领域杰出青年科学家奖, 2010 因在假冒网站检测及图纸识别研究领域的突出贡献入选国际模式识别学会会士(IAPR Fellow)。2005年与“分中心”主任李青教授共同创立珠海发思特软件公司(香港城市大学孵化公司)并任首任CEO。2006-2010年任国际模式识别学会(IAPR)第10专委会(TC10)主席。2005年起任中国科技大学客座教授及及博士生导师。
