DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS


The Department strives to promote educational excellence; three departmental scholarships have been established to provide encouragement, motivation, and recognition to outstanding students.


MEEM Entrance Scholarship for Mainland Foundation Year Students

The amount of each scholarship is HK$40,000

Eligible applicants for the Scholarship shall be all full-time undergraduate freshmen who have attained a minimum CGPA of 3.5 of their Foundation Year and are admitted to one of the MEEM Department's UGC-funded full-time programmes.

Awardees will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. academic performance;
  2. participation in extra-curricula activities / community services;
  3. statement of the career goals;
  4. presentation skill; and
  5. leadership potential.

MEEM Scholarship for non-JUPAS Direct Entrants

The amount of each scholarship is HK$40,000

Eligibility
  1. Students who are admitted to one of the MEEM Department’s UGC-funded full-time programmes through non-JUPAS route, excluding the Foundation Year Scheme.
Selection Criteria for the Scholarship
  1. The Scholarship will be awarded primarily based on the academic merit of nominees, who should obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in Associate Degree or Distinction Award in Higher Diploma or equivalent.
    Other areas such as leadership potential, non-academic achievements, community services and personal qualities will be taken into consideration as well.

MEEM Outstanding Students Awards

All MEEM full time undergraduate students with outstanding accomplishments in academic area, leadership, and services are welcome to compete for the Awards.

Each of the awardees will receive a certificate and a cash award of $2,500.

The recipients of the Outstanding Student Award will automatically become candidates for the Student of the Year Award, which will be voted by all full time undergraduate MEEM students in April. The Student of the Year will additionally receive a trophy.

Eligible applicants must be currently a full-time undergraduate student in MEEM Department.
