Mission

To provide the state-of-the-art facilities, the best IT infrastructure, the best technical support and the safest and green working environment for degree level teaching, research, training and industrial consultancy work.

Roles

  1. To cater for deliver our Engineering Students’ experiments and laboratory exercises,
  2. To provide facilities and technical support for our Engineering Students to undergo final year projects,
  3. To provide a simulated factory environment for our Engineering Students to undergo practical engineering trainings,
  4. To provide facilities and technical support for research and development work,
  5. To facilitate consultancy services to local industries,
  6. To support the Departmental and University wide publicity work,
  7. etc.

Introduction

The MBE Laboratories are located in 3 different zones. The majority of its facilities are located at level one of AC1 building, many of the Mechatronics related facilities are located at level six of AC2 building, and 3 BioEngineering teaching labs are located at level four of AC1 building, totally occupying floor spaces of more than 3000 sq meter. The Lab consists of 14 major teaching laboratories and 21 applied research laboratories. They are briefly described below:-
