Ms. LEUNG Yin Ming, Year 2 student from the Bioengineering major, was selected as a recipient of the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme 2018. Mr. Jiaqian Li, under the supervision of Dr. Zuankai Wang, won Premier Prize at the first International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) Bionic Innovation Competition from among over 130 works worldwide.
Mr. Yufan Wang’s team, under the supervision of Professor Wen Jung Li, won Third Prize (entrepreneurship category) in an international contest on innovation and entrepreneurship 2017 from among over 1000 submissions from industries and universities worldwide. (Read more)

Dr. Zuankai Wang was presented the CityU Outstanding Research Award 2017 during the University Congregation on 11 November 2017. The Selection Panel identifies outstanding researchers whose work has had a significant impact on industrial, economic and social development in Hong Kong and beyond. The results of the General Research Fund (GRF)/Early Career Scheme (ECS) 2017-18 have been released. The MBE department has a total of 16 successful applications, occupying 15.6% of the total amount of grants received by the College of Science and Engineering, and 10.5% among all academic units in CityU. A success rate of 53.3% has been achieved this year, which is much higher than the overall institutional averages and the majority in the Engineering panel. (View the list of successful projects)
