Speaker Biography

Kai serves as the Portfolio Manager for the LIM China Absolute Return Fund and LIM China B Share Fund. He is also responsible for managing relative value strategies such as dual share listings, ADRs, foreign vs local shares, ordinary vs preference shares, and ETF arbitrages for the LIM Asia Multi-strategy fund.

Prior to joining LIM, Kai managed two China iShares and two India iShares exchange-traded funds while he was with Barclays Global Investors ("BGI") in Hong Kong. He was also a portfolio manager in the BGI San Francisco office co-managing various commodities, enhanced index and custom strategy lifecycle portfolios, as well as managing fund-of-funds allocations for international and US domiciled equities funds. In addition to fund management experiences, he held various financial analyst and business management roles with Procter & Gamble, Pepsi, and Apple Computer.

Kai holds a Bachelor degree from State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master degree from Cornell University, both in electrical engineering. He also received his MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Strategic Management. Kai is a CFA charterholder and holds the NASD 3, 7 and 63 licenses.
