Who recognises the test?
The TCF testing system was developed by CIEP and commissioned by the French education ministry. It is recognized by French and Canadian university authorities as well as by university-level language centers and institutions specialized in French language learning in France and around the world.
The grading scale used to evaluate candidate's language proficiency has been translated into eleven languages in order to give education institutions and employers a precise benchmark of the certificate holder's abilities.

Why take the test?
For a variety of reasons!
Personal. Obtain an evaluation of your speaking, writing and comprehension skills in French. The TCF provides a snapshot of your proficiency in French at the time you take the test.
Work. The TCF certificate is a benchmark of your language abilities and may be used to endorse job applications or applications for internal promotion.
Study. The certification process is designed according to international standards and is recognized by universities as meeting French language requirements for entry.

What is the content of the test?
The TCF is a multiple-choice test that consists of 80 items divided into 3 sections:
Listening (30 items, 25mn)
Grammatical structures (20 items, 20mn)
Reading (30 items, 45mn)
The candidates will receive a certificate of their TCF results.

How to prepare for it?
You can listen to tapes, read, and do exercises, watch videos or the French TV. You can as well find many interesting things on the Internet.
We'll be glad to help you if you need any help or advice.
