PROGRAMME AIMS
This programme aims to provide a solid foundation
in the practical use of English and Japanese, and to prepare students
for bilingual work and mediation, application of communication technology
and progression onto further studies in relevant language and communication
areas.
CAREER PROSPECTS
Graduates can take up work that requires proficiency in
both written and spoken English and Japanese as well as in the use
of computer technology for communication. Graduates of this programme
will have a good command of two languages (English and Japanese)
to enable them to take up career positions in customer services,
marketing, media, publication, journalism and public relations in
business and non-profit-making organizations.
ARTICULATION AND FURTHER STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates can also continue their studies in relevant
degree programmes in language and communication areas with advanced
standing both locally and overseas. Articulation arrangements have
been made to enable graduates from this programme to pursue relevant
BA programmes in universities in the UK, such as University of Central
Lancashire, University of Portsmouth, Middlesex University, University
of Westminster and Australian universities such as Monash University. |
