Library Orientation Session for Postgraduate Students
Welcome to the Run Run Shaw Library!
To support your academic success at CityU, new postgraduate students are strongly
encouraged to attend a Library Orientation Session.
The Orientation Session will help you to acquire basic skills in
using library resources and services.
An Orientation Session for postgraduate students consists of 2 parts:
- Library Orientation Tour
The Library Orientation Tour helps familiarize students with
the locations and arrangements of books, journals, and other library
materials. A brief overview of the various Library collections
and services will be provided.
- Orientation Class
During the Orientation Class, you will learn how to:
- Locate needed information by accessing the Library's website
- Use the Classic Library Catalogue to identify and locate library materials
- Access Library databases appropriate for your subject area
- Take advantage of special services for postgraduate students
- Get help from librarians and other library staff members
The Orientation Class will include hands-on exercises!
Do register for a session! For further enquiries, please contact the Reference
