Research Seminars on ISI Databases

ISI Databases are robust databases that provide access to scholarly articles, citation information, patents, and more. The Library is pleased to announce the following research seminars on these Library-subscribed electronic resources:

Topic: Web of Science (SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, CPCI)

Topic: Journal Citation Reports and Essential Science Indicators
Date and Time: 29 October 2009 (Thursday), 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Topic: Derwent Innovations Index
Date and Time: 29 October 2009 (Thursday), 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

During these three seminars, you will learn how to:

  • find the latest development of your research project -- Session A
  • find institutions/authors working in your interested topics -- Session A
  • find journal articles that have cited a particular author or work -- Session A
  • be alerted when specified works are cited -- Session A
  • find the most influential journals in a subject field (Impact Factor) -- Session B
  • search inventions from worldwide patent-issuing authorities -- Session C

All seminars will be presented by Mr. Khee-Hiang Lim, from Thomson Reuters and the medium of instruction is English. Users who are interested in the research seminars may complete the online registration form below to reserve a seat.
