MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) premier bibliographic database. It contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,800 biomedical journals on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, etc., published in the United States and 70 other countries from 1966 and it uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing.
