ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center)

The ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database is
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive
access to educational-related literature. The ERIC database
corresponds to two printed indexes: Resources in Education
(RIE) and Current Index to Journals in Education
(CIJE), covering thousands of documents and more than 1000
education and education-related journals. In addition, ERIC provides
coverage of conferences, meetings, government documents, theses,
dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories,
books and monographs. ERIC also provides users with online access
to the full-text of approximately 107,000 ERIC documents (issued 1993 - ).
RIE (Resources in Education) documents (records with an Accession
Number [AN] or ERIC Number beginning with "ED") from 1976
to July 2004 (selected documents only from April 2002 - July 2004) are
available in microfiche format from the Library Archive

Subject coverage: language, linguistics, education
of all stages, counselling services, special education, education in
major subject fields, curriculum development, teacher education, and
evaluation and management in education.
