Shatin Branch Library

Less frequently used monographs, media resources and bound serials or journals with electronic equivalents are housed at the Branch Library in Shatin. It is situated on the 21st floor of Grandtech Centre, 8 On Ping Street, Siu Lek Yuen, Shatin. As these library materials are kept in closed stack areas where users do not have direct access, library staff will help retrieve the required items for the users upon request, no matter it is made electronically or in paper form.

To make use of materials at the Branch Library, users can submit online requests for these monographs, media resources and journals (articles or bound volumes) via the Library Catalogue by clicking the "Request" button on the top menu bar and then filling out the "Item Request Form". Requests received at or before 12 noon on a working day can be fulfilled on the same day and requests made after 12 noon will be fulfilled on the next working day (Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays). Users will be notified via email for picking up of the requested materials at the Circulation Counter of the Main Library.

Free transportation arrangements can also be made for users to visit the Branch Library during normal office hours (08:30 to 17:00, Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays) to use / borrow the materials on-site. Since seats are limited in the Branch Library, a minimum of 3-hour advance booking is required prior to the visit. For such an arrangement, please call 3442-5998 for details.
