Welcome to CityU Library

Finding information is an integral part of conducting research. Therefore, the library has been an essential place of one's university life. To help you get familiar with the CityU Library, its services and collections, and how to access and use its various search tools, the CityU Library will launch a large-scale orientation and instruction program at the beginning of the semester. In addition to orientation tours, we will provide classes and workshops to help you learn a wide range of information and research skills.

Library Orientation Tours for New Students

From 29 August to 14 September 2018, the Library will organize orientation tours. It is highly recommended that new students attend this 30-minute Library Orientation Tour to learn the locations and arrangements of books, journals, and other library materials. A brief overview of various Library collections and services will be provided. The tours will be conducted in Cantonese, Putonghua, and English respectively to accommodate diverse language backgrounds.

“Getting Started” Sessions for New Postgraduate Students

To achieve academic success at CityU, new postgraduate students are strongly encouraged to attend a “Getting Started” Session. These identical sessions will run for a whole week from 3 to 8 September 2018. It will help you acquire basic skills in using the Library tools, services, and resources to support your learning and research. Hands-on practice will be included in the sessions. The medium of instruction is English.
