Emergent Space Form: Art Museum – BSAS Year 3 Architectural Studio Exhibition

Students from the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (ACE) organized an exhibition showcasing their studio works at the Library from 19 January to 4 February 2016. The exhibition titled “Emergent Space Form: Art Museum – BASA Year 3 Architectural Studio Exhibition” displayed the results from different areas of study, including precedent study, light/space study and site analysis from the course Architectural Design 4: Emergent Space Form. The course aims to enhance students’ understanding of architectural design as a configuration of negative space in relations to positive form.

In this exhibition, conceptual models on museum design and large scale installations using forms and materials to transmit light from a light source were on display. Site analysis in the form of multimedia presentation compiling of diagrams, sketches, photos, moving images, sounds and texts were also on display. The Library through co-organizing the exhibition with ACE is pleased to enable BSAS students to gain further exposure of their learning outcome and share with the University community.
