Vy completed her BA Degree in English Language and Linguistics at the Ho Chi Minh University of Education in Vietnam in 2015. She had two years teaching EFL to young learners and English test preparation courses before pursuing her graduate studies. In 2018, Vy was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in TESOL by Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ottawa, Canada. She has been recently conferred the M. Ed Degree in Curriculum Studies by the University of Victoria, Canada.
Along with her academic studies, Vy also had some experience in teaching and developing ESL curriculum for immigrant and refugee students in Canada during her participation in practicum programs at Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and Ottawa Chinese Community Service Center. At the same time, she actively volunteered at Algonquin Conversation Club and worked as an ESL peer tutor for Algonquin College to support international students in enhancing their English language proficiency. She also contributed to research by participating in the work-study program of University of Victoria as an Applied Linguistics Research Assistant.
