Evangeline has long been a language enthusiast. Being a registered teacher, she holds a double Bachelor's degree in education and English linguistics at the University of Hong Kong, and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her training in Australia and Canada allows her to gain new perspectives in her pedagogy.

Prior to joining CityU, she has taught general, vocational and business English, grammar, speaking, and EAP courses in various settings, including local primary, secondary schools, and post-secondary institutions. Seeing teaching as a work of heart, she is trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness self-compassion (MSC), hoping to bring mental health awareness into her day-to-day language teaching.

When she is not in the classroom, she can be found spending quality time with her energetic furry friend, making voice-over videos for her church community, or maybe learning a new language.
