Government-Funded Places
The tuition fees for non-local students admitted to a government-funded programme / places in 2011/12 are as follows:
2011/12 academic year onwards until the end of your study on the programme: HK$100,000 (USD 12,886) per annum, unless a higher minimum tuition fee is set by the HKSAR Government

 

On-campus Student Residence

If applications are submitted on time, most international students can find on-campus accommodation at our Student Residence.

For Undergraduates (residence fees are charged by semester):

Double Room: Around USD 620 per semester per person
Single Room: Around USD 930 per semester per person

For Postgraduates (most of the rooms are for single occupancy):

Research Students of UGC-funded Programmes

Single room in Hall 8:

Around USD 260 per month per student

Single room in Jockey Club House:

Around USD 290 per month per student

Double room in Jockey Club House (very limited):

Around USD 170 per month per student


Postgraduate Students of Non-UGC-funded Programmes

Single room in Hall 8:

Around USD 1,410 per semester (approximately USD 320 per month per student)

Single room in Jockey Club House:

Around USD 1,600 per semester (approximately USD 360 per month per student)

Double room in Jockey Club House (very limited):

Around USD 960 per semester (approximately USD 220 per month per student)


Postgraduate Students of UGC-funded Programmes

Single room in Hall 8:

Around USD 1,140 per semester (approximately USD 260 per month per student)

Single room in Jockey Club House:

Around USD 1,280 per semester (approximately USD 290 per month per student)

Double room in Jockey Club House (very limited):

Around USD 770 per semester (approximately USD 170 per month per student)

Air-conditioning, laundry and bedding fees are not included in the monthly charges.

For accommodation outside campus, the rental could be in the range of USD700–USD1,200 a month depending on the size, location and type of accommodation.

Other Living Expenses

The cost of living in Hong Kong is estimated to be around USD5,130 a year for a single student including meals, transport, laundry, and education expenses for books and stationery.
