CityU Buddy Scheme strives to promote international friendship and enhance cross-cultural awareness. Buddies comprise a group of enthusiastic CityU students who volunteer to befriend non-local students newly joined the University.
Every new international/non-local undergraduate students (including exchange students) and foundation year students will be matched with a CityU Buddy before the academic year/semester starts. Buddies are delighted to provide peer support to new students from all around the world and lend them support in adjusting to the Hong Kong culture and the University community. During the semester, Buddies will also organize events/activities for international/non-local students to promote integration among students and cross-cultural exchange.
