Duties
Provide technical support for teaching in Biology and Analytical/Environmental Science courses and infrastructural support for research activities; manage and maintain departmental laboratories, function rooms and laboratory equipment; conduct safety patrol and routine checks for laboratories; and perform general laboratory duties and any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A good honours degree in Biology/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Environmental Science/Molecular Biology with at least 1 year’s laboratory experience. Experience in operation, maintenance and servicing laboratory equipment including Gas Chromatograph, High Performance Liquid Chromatograph and Liquid Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer; and good communication and interpersonal skills required. Working irregular hours may be required.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
