Research Assistant in the School of Creative Media (Appointment for 6 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. E/R/130/09]


Project

VR Story Lab

Duties

  1. Develop software in Unity for VR/AR projects;
  2. Integrate omni-directional stereoscopic footages either rendered or captured from VR cameras; and
  3. Conduct VR training workshops for undergraduate students.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree in Computer Science/Creative Media or related disciplines with an interest in VR/AR/MR development, robotics, computer vision and 3D display.  Experience in programming with C#/C++/Java, using Unity 3D or Unreal game engines and video production; understanding on computer graphics (not only Photoshop) and cinematic languages are required.  Candidates are also expected to be self-initiated, and a creative problem solver who can think way out of the box.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
