Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Assistant in the School of Energy and Environment (Appointment for 6 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. D/R/069/09]

 

Project

Development of Porous Adsorbents for Nitrogen Dioxide Capture From Ambient Air

Duties

Conduct advanced adsorbent materials synthesis and characterization, adsorption and separation study, and adsorption apparatus development.


Requirements

An MPhil degree in Chemical Engineering/Materials Science/Chemistry/Environmental Engineering or other related engineering and science fields.  Experience in synthesis and characterization of porous adsorbents materials (such as zeolites, MOFs, and mesoporous materials), excellent command of spoken and written English, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team are required.

Candidates with experience in gas adsorption and separation in porous materials using molecular simulation are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates with a PhD and no more than 3 years’ postdoctoral experience may be considered for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow.
