Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant (2 posts) in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. C/R/143/09]

  2. Blended Approach for Social Work Learning: A Reflection-based and User-Oriented Pedagogical Model



Duties

Perform quantitative and qualitative statistical analysis, prepare and update related documentation (including literature reviews, article writing, and work progress reports), responsible for project management, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Psychology/Social Work or related social sciences disciplines, with research experience.  Experience in SPSS and/or NVivo or related software, knowledge of multimedia and online teaching platforms, proficiency in quantitative analysis and research methodology, computer knowledge, demonstrated ability to carry out research independently, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independent and within a team are required.

Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
