Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Social Sciences (Appointment for 10 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. C/R/108/09]

 

Projects

  1. Use of Storytelling to enhance the Teaching and Learning of SS3280/SS5212 Human Behaviour and Social Environment/Diversity
  2. Rediscovering Wisdom in Older Adulthood: A Randomized Wait List Control Trial of a Specific Narrative Therapy in Group Practice

 

Duties

Conduct literature reviews, monitor data collection and entries, provide transcription support, analyse both qualitative and quantitative data, and prepare periodical reports and related papers.

 


Requirements

A good honours degree in Social Sciences with independent final year project experience.  Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese; strong interpersonal, organizational and computer skills; good initiative with a sense of responsibility are required.  Experience in qualitative inquiries is preferred.  Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
