Part-time Research Assistant (2 posts) in Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre (Appointment for approximately 6 months) [Ref. B/R/934/09]

 

Project

Hong Kong Continuing Professional Development Hub (HKCPD Hub)

Duties

  1. Source relevant literature and documentation related to the Project;
  2. Develop learning materials for academic and discipline-specific English;
  3. Consolidate materials for training, research and reports;
  4. Organize meetings for all related stakeholders;
  5. Design and conduct surveys and interviews; transcribe and analyse them as directed;
  6. Compile presentation materials and write reports; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/English Language Education preferably with 1 year’s relevant experience; and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.  Familiarity with research methods and statistical analysis methods; high proficiency in written and spoken English; and good interpersonal skills as well as a strong sense of responsibility are required.  Candidates should be able to take initiative in ensuring that the tasks are completed in a high-quality and professional manner.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
