Research Fellow/Postdoctoral Fellow (2 posts) in the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/838/09]

 

Duties

Conduct research and produce high quality research outputs relating to Civil Law, Commercial Law, and Chinese and Comparative Law; present research outputs and participate in and contribute to seminars and working paper series; assist in organizing events and day-to-day administration of RCCL; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A PhD degree with no more than 3 years’ postdoctoral experience; excellent academic qualification in Contract Law, Tort Law, Property Law, Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law and Comparative Law; ability to publish research outputs in English; appropriate experience in conducting academic legal research; and demonstrated potential for excellence in research are required.  Preference will be given to candidates with a decent publication record.

Candidates with a PhD degree plus appropriate experience or outstanding research performance may be considered for appointment as Research Fellow.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
