in the School of Law (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) 

 

Duties

Conduct research and produce high quality research outputs relating to Hong Kong Basic Law and Comparative Constitutional Law or Judicial Reform in Mainland China, participate in and contribute to seminars or working paper series, assist in organizing events, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A PhD with no more than 3 years’ postdoctoral experience.  Excellent academic qualification in Chinese and Comparative Law, good command of written and spoken English, and appropriate experience in conducting academic legal research are required.  Good command of written and spoken Chinese is a plus.  Preference will be given to candidates with training in both Chinese Law and Common Law/Continental European Legal System.

Candidates with a PhD plus appropriate experience or outstanding research performance may be considered for appointment as Research Fellow.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
