Senior Research Associate in the Department of Management Sciences (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/750/09]


Project

Delivering 21st Century Healthcare in Hong Kong - Building a Quality-and-Efficiency Driven System

Duties

  1. Manage database and ongoing enhancement to ensure high quality of data inputs and outputs;
  2. Analyse data, prepare research publications and community reports;
  3. Manage the centralization of information from internal and external parties, and channel it to relevant users;
  4. Coordinate with users for data cleansing, conversion, standardization, categorization and data stewarding; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

  1. A Master’s degree or above in Computer Science/Statistics/Social Sciences or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ working experience and track records in publications;
  2. Knowledge of data analysis and statistical models, and statistical software packages (such as SPSS and other programming development);
  3. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and presentation skills; and
  4. Being detail-minded, well-organized, proactive, multi-tasking, with ability to prioritize work under tight schedules.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
