Assessing Imbalance of Excitation and Inhibition in a Model of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

 

Duties

Carry out research activities for the Project.

 


Requirements

A Master’s degree or above in Biology/Neurobiology/Engineering with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in Neuroscience.  Experience in at least one of the following areas is highly desirable: brain slice electrophysiology, optogenetics, immunofluorescent staining, confocal microscopy, mouse handling, stereotaxic surgery and injection, electronics and instrument building.

Preference will be given to candidates with good communication skills in English, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, self-motivation as well as strong work ethics.

 


Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
