Provision of Services for Conducting a Pilot Survey for Antimicrobial Resistant Microorganisms in Food in Hong Kong

Duties

  1. Carry out research on surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in Hong Kong;
  2. Collect and analyse samples and research data;
  3. Assist in research logistics; and
  4. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Microbiology, Bioveterinary/Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines;
  2. Excellent command of English (particularly on technical writing) and Chinese (written and spoken);
  3. Proficiency in computer skills;
  4. Familiarity with antimicrobial resistance, food production and food safety;
  5. Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team; and
  6. A veterinary degree registrable with the Veterinary Surgeons Board Hong Kong and at least 1 year's relevant experience would be advantages.


Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s relevant post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
