Is Forbearance Less Costly than Forgiveness? An Investigation on Self-regulation and Ego-depletion



Duties

  1. Conduct literature review;
  2. Prepare and administer surveys and experiments;
  3. Set up hardware and software for psychological measurement;
  4. Assist in the coordination and administrative work of the Project;
  5. Conduct preliminary data analysis; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned. 




Requirements

A good honours degree in Psychology/Cognitive Science/Social Sciences or related disciplines, preferably with experience in conducing psychological experiments and computer programming.  Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese), good communication skills with people of different ages, being self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and directly with research participants and research helpers are required.  Strong computer and statistical skills (including Microsoft Office, SPSS, E-Prime and AMOS) are preferred.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
