Genre-based Approach to Enhancing Secondary Students’ English Writing Ability in Science Subjects

Duties

Support a research project in delivering workshops to local secondary school students for effective writing ability in science subjects; conduct research; participate and host professional development trainings for local teachers about the genre-based writing; assist the Project Investigator to run the research project, and implement online or face-to-face workshops with the participating schools and teachers; give feedback to the schools; and provide support to the team for programme evaluation.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/English Language Education or related disciplines with at least 1 year’s teaching experience, and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.  The candidate should have good command of written and spoken English.
