Research Project on the Implementation of the Hong Kong Basic Law: Chinese and Comparative Constitutional Law Perspectives


Duties

Conduct research and produce high quality research outputs relating to Hong Kong Basic Law and Macau Basic Law, Comparative Local Government and Autonomy; assist Principal Investigator in editing research work; help organize seminars/conferences and other academic events; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Law/Political Science, preferably specialized in Chinese and Comparative Constitutional Law/Local Government, with no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree. Relevant research experience and publication record, appropriate experience in organizing academic events, and excellent command of written and spoken English are required. Preference will be given to candidates with training in Comparative Constitutional Law and excellent command of written and spoken Chinese.

Candidates with a PhD degree plus at least 3 years’ relevant research experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Research Associate.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
