Project

Language Enhancement for Capstone Projects Using Interactive Apps

Duties

  1. Source relevant literature and documentation related to the Project;
  2. Develop learning materials for academic and discipline-specific English;
  3. Consolidate materials for training, research and reports;
  4. Organize meetings for all related stakeholders;
  5. Design and conduct surveys and interviews; transcribe and analyse them as directed;
  6. Compile presentation materials and write reports; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

A good honours degree preferably in Linguistics/English Language Education.  Familiarity with research methods and statistical analysis methods; high proficiency in written and spoken English; good interpersonal skills and a strong sense of responsibility are required.  Candidates should be able to take initiative in ensuring that the tasks are completed in a high-quality and professional manner.

Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
