Research Associate/Research Assistant in the State Key Laboratory in Marine Pollution (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. A/R/985/09]

 

Duties

Conduct literature reviews and data analysis, undertake coral reef fish surveys, prepare periodical reports and related papers, and perform any other research-related activities.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree in Marine Biology/Ecology/Biology/Statistics.  Experience in conducting univariate and/or multivariate analysis with strong statistical knowledge and skills, good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese, and proficiency in computer skills are required.  Knowledge of incorporating data in ArcGIS database is preferred.  Possession of valid diving certifications would be an advantage.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
