Postdoc/Research Assistant in the Centre for Biosystems, Neuroscience, and Nanotechnology (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. A/R/1002/09]

 

Duties

Responsible for the design, fabrication, and testing of biomedical sensors and actuators in microsystems with development of nanotechnology; and conduct research in sensing and control of biomolecules and cells.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Science and Engineering/Biology/Chemistry/Mechanical Engineering/Physics/Materials/Energy, and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.  Strong background and knowledge of nanotechnology, biomedical sciences, nanomaterials, electronic or photonic devices, microsystem integration, sensors and actuators, or MEMS is desirable.

Candidates with a PhD and no more than 3 years’ experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Postdoc.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
