Manager (Development Services) (at the rank of Assistant Registrar/Supervisory Executive Officer) in the Office of the Vice-President (Development and External Relations) [Ref. D/187/09]

In a strategic move to further strengthen the fast developing Institutional Advancement functions of the University, the University is looking for a seasoned advancement professional to take up an important position in the Office of the Vice-President (Development and External Relations).

Duties

The appointee will lead the event team of the Office, playing a key role in event management and strategic communication to support prospect cultivation and donor stewardship.  S/he will be required to plan, organize and manage high-end fundraising events and donation ceremonies; produce quality communication literature; and bring in creative initiatives and resources to foster relationship with prospects, donors and other stakeholders.

Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree, with substantial experience and a successful track record in event management and communication services in sizable organizations.  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong leadership, interpersonal skills and creativity are required.  Experience in fundraising or philanthropic purposes is preferred. 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of Supervisory Executive Officer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
