Improving Fish Health and Production in Hong Kong

Duties

Provide veterinary service to aquatic animal clients; visit local farms; provide veterinary diagnoses and recommendations for disease prevention and control; supervise veterinary technicians, and maintain veterinary medical records; assist with aquatic animal veterinary research and BVM education provided by the University; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A DVM or equivalent from a HKVSB recognized institution, with at least 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Holder of a valid Hong Kong driving license (Class 1 and 2);  excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate directly with veterinarians, farmers and students; ability to work with individuals from different disciplines; excellent supervisory, multi-tasking, organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to evaluate new processes, implement plans, and develop preventive/corrective actions; and proficiency in Cantonese are required.  Proficiency in Putonghua is desirable.

Successful candidate may be considered for appointment on a full-time or part-time basis.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic (except part-time appointment).
